The scenic 6.5 mile course is run through Tuscan style Montaluce Vineyards and overlooks the Western Blue Ridge Mountains. It is considered to be one of the most beautiful courses in the Southeast.
The hills might be long and steep but the views are worth the price you will pay as you make your way to the top. We will stomp the tarmac and duck out into woods to continue into the beautiful vineyards of Montaluce. You will pass by streams and over rugged grounds. Don’t stop to pick grapes, more climbs and adventure awaits you as you make your way towards the finish.
The fun isn’t over when you cross the finish line, though. Remaining true to the spirit of our events we like to follow up the race in style with an amazing post-race meal and awards party. Join us for the awards presentation at the Winery and a delicious French Toast brunch (tickets sold in advance) prepared at the award winning Le Vigne Restaurant. For those of you brave enough to tackle the Fool’s Gold Challenge with the mountain bike race on Saturday and adventure run on Sunday, the awards will be presented at this time.
